At SDH we create handmade furniture and kitchens from reclaimed oak and pine and also from new pine and other woods, including ash and beech.
Traditional Workmanship
All our furniture is constructed by hand, using traditional methods of joinery, from solid wood. We never use chipboard or MDF. Our aim is to create quality furniture that will last for generations to come.
Reclaimed Wood
Our speciality is creating furniture and kitchens from reclaimed wood, salvaged from demolished buildings such as schools, factories and houses. In most cases we source and prepare the timber ourselves and can tell you the history of the premises that it came from.
This wood is well seasoned and has a history of its own, spanning hundreds of years.
The furniture that we create from it has a beautiful, distinctive patina and each piece has its own unique character and charm
Using reclaimed wood also helps reduce our impact on the environment and keeps this beautiful timber out of the landfill sites.

We are a family run business, drawing on three generations of knowledge and experience.
We have been suppling bespoke and hand made furniture to local shops and customers since 2002 and have extensive knowledge of our craft and countless happy customers.
